I like SocialPilot for content planning for any social network! Founded in 2014, it’s way ahead of the competition because of an array of features including after-sales support, attractive UI, natural setup process, detailed reporting and whatnot.
Currently, it serves more than 500 clients, and this is proof of the fact that SocialPilot is doing pretty well for itself.
1) Features
Now I am going to discuss the features specific to SocialPilot. Have a look:
a) Automation
Planning posts on social networks from day to day like Facebook using a third-party tool isn’t free from flaws.
Have you noticed the name of the device used to program and publish just beside the time of publishing? That doesn’t happen if you use SocialPilot to automate.
Apart from these, you can automate the update of your latest blog content to come inside the social media posts.
The blog posts you’re creating automatically curate as a social media update. This helps with overall content strategy and planning.
b) Infinite Upload
SocialPilot allows the user to upload an infinite number of posts simultaneously using the bulk scheduling option. All you have to do is upload the CSV file containing all jobs, and the tool will do the rest for you.
A great help to manage your monthly social media posting schedule where you do not have to post every single time rather take help from bulk scheduling.

Content recommendations for social media posts are a boon when you don’t know what your follower base wants to read. So you’re writing quality content that people will actually read.
When you create engaging content then you get more shares, comments making the journey of content creation fun.
SocialPilot does the hard work all the way! So, your social media editorial calendar is prepared in no time.

Sharing the social media tool with clients could be tricky. If you use SocialPilot, you can do so by just adding the company name and logo and share the platform with the clients.
They will not be able to see anything except for what you have shared with them. This way, both the parties can do the job without worrying too much about data control.

You can download the web extension of SocialPilot on all popular browsers such as Mozilla, Google Chrome, Safari so that you can schedule and share stuff from the platform without having to worry about opening up the calendar. Loomly vs. Hootsuite
Loomly vs. Hootsuite
Hootsuite is a fan, and anyone having any involvement in social media would have come across Hootsuite at some point in their career.
However, there are now some competitors in the market providing better quality software at an even higher economic rate.
Hootsuite offers necessary scheduling and posting updates to profile or company page on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google My Business, Instagram, WordPress, and other platforms. Most users start out with the free version which then lets them upgrade as required.
There are some features that Hootsuite social media content calendar offers exactly such as automated posting, visual and web analytics, mobile integrations, campaign analysis, and calendar management.
When it comes to integration, it doesn’t fall short. From the basics to just about any paid or free application can be found to get integrated with Hootsuite.
The list includes the likes of Buffer social media calendar, MailChimp, Marketo, LinkedIn, Zapier, Zendesk, Slack, WordPress, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and more.
It also has some pricing options such as Professional, Team, and Enterprise – all offering numerous features.
The beauty of this platform is that once you get the hang of it, it’s got a great interface that allows you to connect to multiple channels seamlessly.
Due to the ease of use, their customer base spans most demographics. From freelancers just starting out all the way to some of the largest MNC’s.
We’ve touched upon Loomly earlier but now let’s go into further detail and see how it measures up against the competition.
1) What makes Loomly awesome and unique?
With the widespread use of social media, there are now plenty of options in the market for social media content calendar management tools. Every day, new advanced tools are being released.
Loomly is one of those calendar management tools that flies under the radar but still manages to have an impact.
The tool also provides social media content calendar management solutions to some of the biggest MNC’s in the world such as L’Oréal, BMW, Henkel, LVMH, and Porsche.
Social media editorial calendars help marketers to implement their marketing strategies in the best possible way. With these tools, they know of every latest update whether it’s for Twitter campaigns or a generic marketing strategy.
Now that we’ve had an opportunity to compare the aforementioned social media content managing tools, it’s now time for a head to head to see how Loomly does against Hootsuite.
So what makes Loomly better than Hootsuite?
a) Social media calendar
Let us start with the best feature and then work our way back from here. Almost everyone that’s used Loomly has had the same reaction, “we love the calendar feature.”
It eases the process of creating a social media calendar and helps you plan your content in advance.
This is what makes Loomly a step above the rest when it comes to a powerful social media content calendar.
The master feature of this social media editorial calendar tool is that it lets users see multiple social media calendars, calendar views and post summaries.
Content such as photos, videos, post content calendar template, notes, and links can also be stored and accessed from the user library.
Moreover, Loomly offers automated scheduling and publishing options and an analytics system that helps users measure their posts’ performance. It’s a great way to assess the feasibility of your content schedule.
b) Cost
When it comes to the value, Loomly has maintained its significant low presence and its price accordingly. Their basic plans start at $23 p/m which is quite reasonable as compared to many of their competitors.
Loomly is an excellent value for money, and they even offer a 15-day free trial where you don’t also need to provide your credit card information.
c) Content tips
A feature that many Loomly users rave about it’s the content tips option that I feel is one of the lucrative benefits of its social media content calendar.
Once you’ve installed the software, you can then choose which content categories you’re interested in, and Loomly will send you daily tips on the type of social media content to cultivate and share. This way you know what your audience want and also get new ideas.
By sharing quality content that your audience like helps with brand engagement and gets you more followers.
It’s a great feature that saves you the hassle of having to search for relevant content manually for content creation. Across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and other platforms you can always get new ideas for the same.
Loomly tends to stick out from the crowd because of how well it helps you personalize all the functions of social media.
2) What makes Hootsuite so great?
Firstly, Hootsuite is one of the better-known content marketing tools on the market today that helps you to plan your content. It was launched in 2008 by Invoke Media and since then has accumulated a notable array of features.
They’ve been around for a while and have established their presence via their software, webinars, blog posts, and guides.
Whether you’re a social media manager or an entrepreneur, you’d have to have a basic idea about how they perform.
A content calendar keeps everything organized and planned across a marketing campaign. They are easy to use, save time, allow sharing, help manage multiple platforms and you’re always ready to achieve your social media engagement goals.
You won’t have to worry about posting and scheduling on a day to day basis anymore! Create , schedule and post content that your audience like with Hootsuite.
a) Social media applications
Apart from supporting the standard social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google My Business and more.
Hootsuite goes a step further and offers integration to a whole host of social networks, some free and some paid.
We’ve discussed most of them under the “Integrations” section.
b) Team cooperation
Hootsuite offers you the ability to look after your team efficiently! The tool lets you add several team members to the social media accounts of your choice, allowing you to see who is posting what content and who have scheduled posts.
It makes complete online marketing and planning a cakewalk. Isn’t it great that you know what you’re creating as well as your team members without going back and forth through multiple chats? The best thing about it’s that complete schedule process is made seamless.
You can also regulate tasks, add collaborators, and edit posts as you see fit. Now, this is a great feature that you can get with any social media editorial calendar tools.
After reviewing both Loomly and Hootsuite social media content calendar, it’s time to see who comes out on top. Both platforms have their strengths which are mentioned above.
However, according to my research and feedback, it looks like Loomly offers a better overall high quality product to its customers and offers a number of social calendar benefits. when you are able to follow the calendar you can always stay at the top of your game.
It doesn’t mean it’s bad it’s just that Loomly offers more help to marketers. Let’s see how!
When comparing the features, you get for the price you’re paying Loomly offers much more individual value and provides a better social media editorial calendar. No doubt you can get similar features you are looking for on Hootsuite to schedule or create content.
However, you’ll need to upgrade your plan to have access to that, and that’s a bit irritating when you want to get started with analytics sooner.
There are other areas where Hootsuite falls short compared to Loomly. The overall analytics that you get on Hootsuite it’s quite rudimentary and only if you upgrade to the premium plan do you get access to their full reporting features easily.

Our Experience
After carefully reviewing and reading related articles about Sendible, Loomly, and SocialPilot, I would say that I found that there isn’t ever going to be a ‘best tool over’.
All the tools will have some or the other benefit or disadvantages when it comes to managing social media content schedule. For instance, it will be worthless for your content planning if you need to post and publish on social networks such as Pinterest, Google My Business, or Twitter and they do not support it.
The key is choosing a tool that integrates seamlessly with your company or agency and fulfills your important business needs.
Even though Hootsuite has established itself as one of the leaders of social media content calendars, it still tends to lack the full solution that most businesses are looking for in their social media marketing tools.
When compared to Sendible, SocialPilot, and Loomly, Hootsuite did have some biggest positive attributes, but it still didn’t match up when it came to overall usability for social media content.
It’s important to mention that Sendible and Loomly are not perfect solutions for your audience until you use them well. However, they do offer a great product to start which looks like it’s only going to get better as time goes along.
Do a thorough study before you take the step to choose a platform and you won’t be wrong.
